Peter Nijkamp | project coordinator Peter is Emeritus Professor in regional and urban economics, and in economic geography. From 2009-2015, he was Honorary University Professor at the same university. He has been president of the governing board of the Netherlands Research Council (NWO) (2002-2009). He is also former president of the European Regional Science Association and of the Regional Science Association International. He is fellow of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences, and former vice- president of this organization. In 1996, Peter Nijkamp was awarded the most prestigious scientific prize in the Netherlands, the Spinoza award.

Gabriela Carmen PASCARIU | UAIC team coordinator Gabriela has had more than 20 years of teaching and research experience in the field; she is the Jean Monet Ad Personam Chair holder and the Director of the Centre for European Studies; she participated in 30 international and national projects; she has a high level of expertise in international cooperation at European level and in the cooperation with EU’s Eastern neighbourhood countries (networks and cross border cooperation).

Bogdan-Constantin IBANESCU | researcher Bogdan is a researcher at Centre for European Studies, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University from Iasi. He has a PhD in Human Geography obtained in 2012 at Bordeaux Montaigne University with a thesis on rural tourism in peripheral areas. His main research areas are geography of tourism, spatial analysis and European peripheries.

Daniela Luminița CONSTANTIN | ASE team coordinator Daniela-Luminita is Professor of Regional and Urban Economics and Policy and the Director of the Research Centre for Macroeconomic and Regional Forecasting in her university. She is the President of the Romanian Regional Science Association and member of the European Regional Science Association Council and European Organizing Committee of the ERSA.
